A quick search will show how much the workplace will change in the near future. Compounded with the long-term effects of COVID-19, these changes will not only happen sooner, but adoption will also increase.
According to LinkedIn, 81% of talent professionals agree virtual recruiting will continue post-COVID. In addition, 70% of talent professionals say virtual recruiting will become the new standard.
However, it is interesting to note that according to the Wall Street Journal, more than 9 million Americans couldn’t find any work although companies claim they had more than 9 million unfilled job openings at the same time.
This is unusual given how advances in technology should have addressed the challenges in finding career opportunities for professionals. For companies, finding the right talent should be a walk in the park in a world with social media, virtual interviews, on-demand business models, and artificial intelligence.
It is clear that there is still a gap in talent acquisition that needs to be addressed.
